About ROSOMED:
The Russian Society for Simulation Education in Medicine, ROSOMED advocates promotion of the simulation techniques into the healthcare education and medical practice. Simulation in medical education allows aquisition of the manual and cognitive skills in a safe environment, without risk for the patients.
ROSOMED is a national Russian society consisting of like-minded people and enthusiasts of simulation technologies in healthcare education. It unites specialists from the relevant field, such as simulation training tutors and facilitators, heads of learning centers, researchers working in correspondent field of the modern education science, developers, manufacturers and suppliers of simulation equipment.
The Society was established at the Founding Congress held on February 25, 2012. Then its Charter and protocols of 43 regional subsidiaries of the society were submitted to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. ROSOMED was registered, and the Registration certificate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation dated June 6, 2012 was issued.
Today the Society has over 500 members. ROSOMED publishes its Journal - "Virtual Technologies in Medicine" - the only one Russian-language specialised journal on Medical Simulation Education (over 20 issues). ROSOMED publishes books and manuals, is presented in social media, organizes work-shops and seminars through entire country. Cooperation was offered to Methodology Center (organized by Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation). As a result of this cooperation experts have developed 86 Passports for OSCE simulation stations (set-up, simulation equipment, check-lists, etc.) in 2019. All passports have been published at www.rosomed.ru and during two month have been discussed widely. The ROSOMED Congress was started in 2012 and in 2019 it will be the VIII Congress.
